Shalom! “White Party” at SoHo Synagogue

Last week I had the pleasure of attending this fete with my friend, Sharon. Arriving in the pouring rain, it was more like a scene from girls gone wild, in our drenched white dresses (kidding, kind of)…

There were all kinds of characters there! I made conversation with a funny chap who in the first three minutes of meeting me said ” I used to sell bonds, but now I make naughty sheets for the bedroom. Bedrooms can be so boring, but not if you’re sleeping on half naked mermaid sheets.” Hmmm… Interesting. I appreciated his chutzpah, and I may just have to buy a pair.

I also met someone named Iggy, clad in a Star of David bowtie, and the list goes on… After a plethora of watermelon drinks and cotton candy, like two damsels in distress, we braved the rain and fled the scene. It was a great party, it’s important to have fun rain or shine.
